Meet Coffee Farmers Rus & Alla

Rus and Alla completed an ambitious cross-country journey that took them to every state in the US. Once they finished their quest, a coffee farm located in Wood Valley on the Big Island of Hawaii was decided on as the next big adventure.

The remote and peaceful Wood Valley, Ka'u region lies on the eastern slopes of Mauna Loa, one of the largest active volcanoes on Earth. Rather cool nights extend the cherry ripening window to a few more months than is typical for Hawaiian coffees. We believe these unique weather conditions, in addition to Rus and Alla’s meticulous farming approach and adventurous spirit, presents an exciting coffee with fantastic depth.
