What began in the late 90’s as a way to revitalize the Ka’u community after the exit of sugar processing, this south east side of the Big Island of Hawaii has become one of the leading Hawaiian Coffee growing areas in the state. Coffee from this region continues to earn numerous awards, year after year, due to their dedication to quality and sustainable farming practices.

The Ka’u region experiences cool nights but consistently warm days, creating a weather pattern that slows the ripening of the coffee cherry. This drawn out growing window ultimately translates to a high brix at harvest which presents in the cup as a smooth, fruit-forward flavor profile.
